El Paso Eyepatch
This singer/songwriter led group have been playing their dark americana
for a couple years now; Nels Andrews's short-story songs are interlaid
in the tuneful rock stylings of lead guitar/electric banjo of Jeffrey
Richards, the escalator-smooth bass of Chris Kitchen, Michelle Collins'
etherial vocal harmonies and topped off with the hardest working drummer
in Albuquerque, Heath Dauberman. They are an airstream trailer parked
on the edge of the alt-country parking lot. Or if you'd rather, the conversion
van driving into the sunset, somewhere between the mexican desert and
downtown wherever. They all wear funny hats.
